At Mu Tian Yu, there is a chairlift to get to the top of the wall (saving my Dad’s knees), and a wheeled toboggan run to get back down (or you can ride down the chairlift).
The Great Wall is amazing (pictures do not do it justice). It is 7 to 8 meters tall (23 to 26 feet tall) and runs along the old border between Mongolia and China (hence the reason it runs along the mountaintops). You just have to come visit.

We also visited the Bo Hua Jade Factory (where the Olympic medals for next year’s Olympics were created). There were some amazing pieces on display and for sale.
Our tour guide for the day is actually a professor that teaches about the Ming Dynasty, so we got more insight as to the history and design of both the Imperial City and the Ming Tombs (they look alike, as they were built by the same emperor and construction started 3 years apart).
